Mr. Ramavtar was an excellent math student and was always interested in stock markets as a teenager. He knew he wanted to do something in the field of finance; however, due to the untimely death of his father, he had to move from his hometown in Noida to Mumbai to become the sole breadwinner for his family in 1987. That is when he applied to LIC and got his job as a development officer, having completed his B.Com, which was later followed by insurance-related training after he was recruited. Beyond this, he was a passionate communicator and liked explaining and helping his colleagues understand financial products as he progressed in his career and became well versed in the field of insurance.
