Piyush

India

Some people chase success. Piyush spends his days helping other people find theirs.

His story began in a home where his parents ran a small retail business, and that is where he learned what grit looks like. He studied industrial and production engineering in Tumkur, then went on to a master’s in Tiruchirappalli, but the real education was always the shop floor of his childhood.

For nearly three decades, Piyush has poured himself into pharma, healthcare, IT and entrepreneurship. He worked at one of India’s premier science parks and at a university’s entrepreneurship cell, where he nudged students to take the leap and start businesses of their own, creating jobs for others along the way. He later moved into franchise consulting and helped manage an analytics company, always asking how things could be done better, smarter and kinder to the bottom line.

Small business owners across retail, logistics, textiles, healthcare, education and more know him as the mentor who sits down beside them and helps them see their next step clearly. Today he directs a pharmaceutical company and serves on a think tank, where he studies mergers and acquisitions in GovTech, telecom and pharma.

Still, his heart has room for more. He oversees a nonprofit school, devours management books, and loves studying leaders from his home state, many of whom rose without formal education.

Piyush proves that wisdom doesn’t always come from a classroom. Sometimes it comes from a family shop.
