Mohan

India

In 1992, I became an assistant and built my home. I have one son who is a hardware engineer and a daughter who is a lawyer. I always wanted to give my children a good education and make sure they had better opportunities in life.

My salary was not always sufficient to manage everything, so I worked on weekends doing painting and polishing work to earn some extra money. I continued working hard to support my family and provide my children with a good education.

After retirement, I continued working as a painter and polisher because I enjoy working. I believe that keeping yourself active and working helps keep your body healthy.

I also love helping people who are going through difficult times. Helping someone who is facing a problem gives me a lot of satisfaction, and it is something I genuinely enjoy doing.

I strongly believe in the words, “तोरा मन दर्पण कहलाए, भले बुरे सारे कर्मों को, देखे और दिखाए।” I believe that a person’s mind is like a mirror that reflects their good and bad actions, and that we should always be honest with ourselves and our actions.

I always tell people that you should continue doing some work even after retirement, as it keeps you healthy, active, and engaged. For me, work is happiness. I believe that staying active, helping others, and having something meaningful to do are important parts of a good life after retirement.
