I was born in 1964 and grew up in Forbesganj, Bihar. I studied Commerce from 1978 to 1981 and lived with my parents and family, depending on my father for my living and educational expenses. From 1990 to 1995, I worked at a plywood retail shop in Patna, earning around ₹5,000 per month. I got married in 1992 and became responsible for supporting my wife and, later, my first child, along with other members of our joint family of approximately 10–15 people.
In 1996, I started my own plywood business with financial assistance from two friends and my former employer. I used my experience in the plywood trade to build the business. Over time, I established a manufacturing factory, where I oversee purchasing, sales, and production. I also co-own two plywood shops with my brother, where we employ salesmen.
Today, my business provides an annual income of approximately ₹25 lakh. I support my wife and my elder son, who works with me and uses his earnings to support his own wife. My younger son runs a separate business but lives in the same household. I do not receive a pension and do not expect to receive one in the future. I plan to depend on my savings and investments from my business, along with support from my sons, as I grow older.
