Born in Indore in 1964, Bharat began his working life in 1988 as a clerk at B.R. Goyal Infrastructure, earning ₹1,500 a month. In 1996, he joined National Bricks as a supervisor, earning ₹11,000 a month, before moving to G.P. Plywood as a manager in 2004, with a salary of ₹18,000 a month. With each move, he gained experience in a different business, took on greater responsibility and saw his earnings grow.
In 2008, Bharat joined Harsh Stones as a senior manager, where he continues to work today. He currently earns ₹40,000 a month and handles purchases, sales, day-to-day accounts, and the supervision of workers and labour staff. His role brings together the accounting and supervisory experience built over his working life. Regular contributions are also made to his provident fund through this employment, helping him save for retirement.
Married with two children, Bharat has additional sources of support at home. He rents out the ground floor of his house for ₹8,000 a month and receives financial support from his son, who works in finance in Hyderabad and earns around ₹1 lakh a month. More than three decades after his first job, Bharat continues to work, with rental income and his son’s contribution supplementing his earnings and helping meet household needs.
